WSO is a vital part of the local community. Players come from Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Surbiton and some travel longer distances to be part of this exceptional and well-established orchestra. The orchestra has an excellent reputation and a wide repertoire, attracting leading professional soloists and giving opportunities to talented young performers at the start of their careers. Recent concerts have featured Making Music Artist Lucy Roberts and BBC Young Musician of the Year Winner Laura Van Der Heijden.
In addition to our concert audiences, followers of Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra include family members, work colleagues and friends of WSO players as well as the Friends of Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra who support the orchestra with vital donations and attend concerts.
